So today when Ardell got off work we went in search of pita bread. They are so expensive @ the stores so we went looking for the cheapest we could find. Ardell wants to make a greek chicken pita with home made tzasiki sauce. So we decided to go to this mediterainian place called Princess off of Broadway and Price. Such a good store. We also found bulghar which is what you put in tabouli (delicious), and i also found red lentils. I also tried someting new! I ate a candy called Turkish Delight, it was pretty good -kinda like a harder nougat with cardomom folded thru out and pistachio in the middle. Okay okay so get this...... Pita @ frys is around 2.50, pita @ Princess is 89 cents!! Crazy!

So i finally waxed the scary hairies from my eyes yesterday. I don't know why but after i wax my eye brows i always feel better. Wierd huh? So now i feel nice n fresh. I also like to go to Target and check out those dollar bins just as you walk in. So Audairian and i went there today. I bought some -Dunder Mifflin- mugs. Ha! The crap i buy! But it was worth it just to get out of the house. Oh, Solana is just about to walk i can feel it! She's tried to take a few steps away from the couch, unsuccesfully. But i just know she's almost there. Audi has just discovered coloring so that's her new favorite thing. I actully sat and colored with her the other day and remembered how fun it is. We also played with a huge balloon punch ball -also alot of fun for such a simple toy!

At the library
So I'm getting this in at the library. I don't have much time but I did want to let all know that my two sources of Internet have both gone kaput!! This is why I have no more posts and it may be this way for a while. So sad for me because I was just getting the hang of this thing and really enjoying it! I only have Internet on my phone but I don't know how to post with it or even if it's possible.
My husband is still looking for a part time night job which is why we are here using the computers. No luck yet but we still have a lot of hope!
Solana has started to move on from her army crawl and has graduated to the official baby crawl! Yay for her! Oh, and Audi actually went the whole day in one diaper because she did soooo good and told us every time she had to go! What a big big girl!
I also wanted to send a thanks out for Solana's high chair! I love it, I love it, I love it! Life has been just a tad easier with it and everything helps these days, right? Okay well I have to go if I want this to post before time runs out!

Adventures with Aunt Betty
Yesterday we all went to look for new shoes at Payless. Both girls were wearing shoes that were too small for their bitty little feet. I love bogo at Payless. We go and get the shoes that are on sale for like 5 or 9 dollars and usually they don't have the right size for one of the girls so they have to call around. And if they find it at another store they will give you a coupon for 3 dollars off, I guess for driving out of your way. Score!!!!!!! $9 shoes now are $6 an your second pair of $5 shoes are now $2.50! Nice!! In total we spent like $9 including tax for both pairs of shoes. So keep that in mind when shoe shopping.
Solana Wants To Read Too!!!

Acorn Aquash

I made Acorn Squash for the first time last night. I loved it!!! Delicious!! It's kind of a weird vegetable. I had to use a hammer and a knife to cut it in half and when I finally got it open it was just like a pumpkin.
The insides looked the same and it had the same looking seeds(I thought about what would happen if I tried to toast and salt them like pumpkin seeds, but i didn't. Maybe next time!), and weirdest of all it smelled exactly like pumpkin. I do recommend if you have never tried it like me now is the perfect time! As backpack would say on Dora "Yum yum yum yum Deliciouso". I think next I shall try some butternut squash.

What do Health Insurance, Potty Training, and Koolicles Have In common? Nothing!
So we kinda got our computer to work. What I mean by that is that it only works sometimes. Better than nothing though right?
Audi is doing sooo good at potty training. She does go in her pamper alot but I'm just so proud of her those times that she actually comes up to us to tell us she has to 'potty'. And when we take her she actually does. I think the fact that she loves Dora and we bought her a Dora potty seat for the toilet really helps. That way she excited to go in the toilet. Go potty on Dora, YAY! Haha.
Yesterday we got home kinda late for dinner when you think about meat and how it's all frozen. So I got in the kitchen and surprisingly pulled out a pretty great dinner. I found some fresh broccoli and ginger and carrots. So I threw some rice in the rice cooker and stir fried those nice veggies up in some kung pao, mirin and soy sauce. Came out pretty good. NICE. SO tonight I start all over again! This time I will think ahead of time!!! I should do that more often but am really bad at that.
Ardell and I are going to take some stuff to Once Upon A Child to get store credit so we can put it towards getting Solana a high chair. She needs one really bad. We have been putting her in her walker to feed her. Not the nicest arrangement but it works.
That reminds me, Audi got a bag of peanuts and devoured them at her grandmas house. So like not even 10 min after we noticed she was eating them she started choking. Not bad more coughing like to get it out of her throat. But then she started breaking out in a rash all over her face and neck and chest and then started throwing up as I was putting her in the bath. It was pretty scary for me as I hadn't dealt with that yet. She hadn't really had a big girl throw up before. After I bathed her and let her play in the water for a bit it started to go away. Thank God! SO I think Audi may have peanut allergies.
We don't even have health insurance anymore. Ardell's work cut it on us. However Ardell and the girls can go to the Indian Hospital. Only problems? Walk-ins Wait hours upon hours, they really don't cover a lot, a family Dr. is over a 2 year wait, and it's really far from where we live so is not a real option in case of an emergency ( which is the only circumstance I am excepted there). The girls have gone there for check ups and the Dr.'s they had were very nice and all was good, though. I really miss their old Dr. which I think is where his co-worker still takes their little girl. Don't ask??????? Can't wait to get insurance back. I actually had my incision form my c-section get infected and start to reopen. Luckily my Dr. is such a good Dr. that he had been talking about that one day and was talking about spraying athletes foot spray on it believe it or not. So I did that and it healed back up. It was a scary time though and just one of those times I wish I could just call my Dr. and see what's going on. Not even sure if that is what he would have had me do in that case but it seemed to have worked.
Okay enough of that, thinking about that stuff just makes me depressed and frustrated. So lets think about my latest blog accomplishment! How neat is it that I put that slide show on the top of my page? Yay for me!!!! I love that I can call my friend Molly and she always knows how to do everything. So thanks to her I now know how to do all my pictures an easier way! Thanks Molly!
Has anyone ever had a koolicle? So it's a pickle in a jar of koolaid instead of pickle juice. It starts to turn red from the koolaid and then you eat it! It use to be the thing to eat for the kids in like Tuba City or Kakotsmovi, except they just grab a regular pickle and dip it into a little baggie of Koolaid and eat it that way. I use to watch my nephew eat that all the time so I decided to try it. NOPE!!! It was disgusting to me. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!!!! Now I think the kids have moved onto filling a baggie with koolaid and then shaking in some gummy bears. It's the new cool thing to eat up there. Gummy bears hurt my teeth so I'm NOT trying that one. What ever happened to just eating koolaid and sugar with your finger and then just walking around the rest of the day with a red pointer finger????

Solana and Audi are growing!
So some exciting things have come about in my little world! Well for a parent. Solana said her first word on 8/8/09. She and her Auntie Lisa were playing with a little plush football and Lisa was tossing it at her and saying "catch" and after a while she sure started saying it back!!!!! YAY!!! That was also the day of our Yard Sale. We did pretty good. I think we made about $125.00 in total. Not bad, huh? My grandma also gave me a lot of stuff to sell. Thanks Grandma!!
So durring the weekday I decided to take the girls to play in the water in the front yard (we have a super small pool for infants). I filled a bucket with really warm water to pur in before I put hose water in so it would be warm. Well I usually keep my phone in my secaond purse (my bra) and as I bent down to pick up the bucket in fell my phone!! CRAP! It took 5 days but it finally turned back on!!! YAY.
This past Thursday Solana pulled herself up to stand at the couch! I was so excited but was kinda thinking oh no! She's at that stage now so we need to hurry and get things baby proofed in a different way now. And we need to lower her crib mattress as well. She was almost standing when I went to get her this morning. On the same day Audi went peepee in the potty like a big girl!!! Alright were on the right track.
Then this morning Audi did #2 in the potty we all cheered for her and she got her Dora sticker on her sticker chart. We put one sticker on the chart so she sees it every time she goes in the bathroom and we give her one so she can walk around with it all proud and can feel rewarded for a while longer. So my thought is hopefully that will keep her thinking about what just happened for some time afterward. Audi also can now climb up in her high chair and buckle herself in! What big girls I have!
I guess this is what happens when you have babies so close together, they have their big moments all at once! All this excitement sure did make my week though!!!!!
My mom gave the girls this book of words so we have been working on that with Audi. It's great, it seems like it has every word you would ever need to use, except I think it may be a little old because it has words that I hardly hear anyone use anymore. I'll have to look again to put some down.
Oh and I am totally addicted to this show "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". Its crazy how these teens are on this show. The Daughters pregnant then she has the baby. Then her mom gets pregnant and is the baby her dad's or the mom's boyfriends? The dad knows its his but wouldn't tell the mom he didn't get the vasectomy. It's like a teenage soap opera. I like it but don't think it should be for teens which I think is who it is directed towards.
Well that's all for now!!!!!!!!

Little Treasures In Storage
So we have been really busy lately. We are getting ready for a huge yard sale this coming up Saturday. We had a lot of stuff in a storage unit but it got to the point where we were having trouble keeping up with the payments on it and I started thinking that we probably have paid more in payments than the stuff in there was even worth. So we finally got all the rest of the stuff out today. Ahhh so glad that part is over! Going through all the stuff though is pretty interesting. Finding all the old love letters to each other from high school. Old pictures of everyone and just seeing things that i forgot I even had. I even found some things form back when I use to go to Camp Lomia, how fun. One cool thing I will share with you that I found was a short music video/movie I made of my niece and nephew back when I use to watch them. Oh and the music is by a band called Audio Slave. This was like a rough draft copy so thats why it has ???????. My friend Molly's husband is an actual movie maker so I just want to say don't be jealous of my movies awesomeness Joe!!! Hahahahaha!!!
ENJOY!
ENJOY!

Little Red Ridding Hood
Well it seems that my posts are slowing down a bit. I don't have Internet access at home so I must use my Mother In-Laws computer but lately when we come over Ardell has been using the computer to apply for jobs so by the time he's done we are all just tired and ready to get back home.
So Solanas starting to slowly move out of her army crawl phase and pushing herself up on her hands and knees. She is eating hard cereal now and SOME table food. And she still just wants to be where her big sis is at. I have a feeling that's going to be a problem when they get older! I bet Audi is going to get frustrated with that.
Audi some how learned what "stuck" means. She was getting frustrated so I went to try and figure out what was going on and I heard her keep saying "guck, guck, guck" over and over again but didn't know what guck was. Sure enough her foot was stuck under Solana's walker. Then she did it again later so I have no idea where she learned that word from. She's starting to dance out of the blue from time to time now. No video yet though. I have to catch her at just the right time for that one otherwise she will get embarrassed and stop. Oh and she found her first favorite song "little red riding hood" so we make sure to play it whenever we get in the car to go any where! I just love it!
Backseat drivers have never been soooo cute!

SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
Okay so I cleaned off a spot on my kitchen counters and found a piece of paper with a recipe on it written in pink permanent marker. It apparently had gotten wet some time ago because it was dry and wrinkled when I picked it up. Anyways, the ink bled and left pink lines on the counter. I tried to soak it with Lysol and then I used Mr. Clean full strength on it. Neither worked. If anyone knows of some way to get this off because it looks like a big eye sore it would be awesome!!!!!!!!! I'll post a picture later, don't have one at this time. HELP!

YIKES! WE'RE DROWNING IN CLOTHES!
This bag of clothes is as big as Audi!
And thats just a bag of one size!

Yesterday Ardell and I buddied up on some team work and cut down on our baby clothes. It was just getting ridiculous!!! Audi had just grown out of her 12 month clothes and is now wearing 18-24 months. While Solana is in between 6-9 months and 12 month clothes. Cheese and Rice! So we had all of our 6-9, 12, 18 &24 month clothes out!!! What a nightmare and we had nowhere to put them. Since we live in a 2 story and all the rooms are upstairs we pretty much live out of our down stairs area ( living/dining room). It's a pretty cramped area as it is so having clothes out in baskets and piles around wasn't helping matters any. So I was just like "well Solana you are now officially in 12 month clothes now.
I don't even care if they all fit or not." Ahhhh it feels soooo much better. They all fit in the closet now and I even was able to get rid of a drawer. NICE!
Oh and yesterday was the first day I was able to gather enough wisps of hair to make a chongo on top of Solana's head!!!!! I've been waiting for that! It was the cutest! I put a tiny little purple Velcro bow.
Audi is starting to learn her animal sounds. So far she only knows cow goes mooo, dog goes ruff & cat goes meow. Cat is the favorite. It just sounds sooo cute. We are now working on horse and fish. I believe she is starting on her terrible twos a little early. She's starting to test the limits on what she can get away with and pick on her sister. She's also in this stage where she doesn't want to eat anything. One minute she loves something and the next she is spitting it out, trowing it at us and rubbing it in her hair. She'll put it anywhere but her mouth. We are not quite sure what to do about that however we just keep trying to give her new & interesting things to see what she'll eat.
Me and Audi were bored so we decided to go to Disneyland!!!
We went on the tea cups ride!
Then we went on the tilt a whirl!
Laundry baskets have never been so fun!
Since blueberries are on sale I made a blueberry tart and it was soo delicious I will end with the recipe from my Taste Of Home Baking Book for you all to try!
Heavenly Blueberry Tart

For Molly!
Okay so I know I was suppose to make my player so that it doesn't play automatically but hey it was my first time playing around on it. I'll have to fix it later, it took soo long setting it up that I tired my eyes out. I don't even want to look at the screen anymore. Sorry. Thanks for your help again!!!!

Audis first real booboo!!!
So yeah, Audi took a bit of a tumble yesterday. She was about to run into the street when we were getting out of the car and Ardell reached down and grabbed her hand to stop her.
Well I guess she had a pretty good momentum going and did some kinda twist and face planted right into the asphalt. It was sooo sad. She cried for a while but when I gave her the ice to put it on her booboo herself she was fine.
I think at that point it was just neat to her. Within about 2 min. the ice just turned into a snack. Haha.
Trying to keep it on her head was just too hard and she wasn't crying or anything any more so I decided it just wasn't worth it. On a different note my car gave out on me the day before but thanks to Daddy it's all fixed up and good as new. He put a new gas tank in and replaced the fuel pump and did something with the distributor. By the way I guess he says its not good to run your car's gas to empty too much cuz the gas is what cools the fuel pump so it's just heating up until it gives up. AKA -you break it.
Today I came to Renes house to play on my blog a bit and, surprise, all the kids were d
own, the girls' cousins Kylan & Jaedyn also Juan who is K&J's cousin. Confusing? Just read it a couple of times until u get it!!!Hahaha. We played hide n seek a couple of time until I got tired of that. Then Audi's Aunt Lisa did her hair.
I love when she does it because I think it looks better than when I do it. Now we have to go to like 5 different grocery stores to get the best deals. It's a pain but we gotta do what we gotta do! Ya know? Oh and Jaedyn is not in the picture because she was mad at her brother for not giving her his sucker. Ahhhh kids! Haha.

The Giggles
So today was the cutest day. Just realizing how much Solana is growing. Audairian use to always attempt to play with Solana however it would always be Solana just staring blankly back at Audi. Now Solana is picking up on this playing stuff. She has a bumbo chair and will use one of her feet to scoot herself around the house. She follows Audairian and tries to play too. CUTE! Today Audairian was trying to hover over Solana who was laying infront of the entertainment center and hit her head. I thought for sure this was going to be a crier but was surprised when Solana burst into laughter with the best view of the incident. Audi, now being face to face with her sister, in turn burst into laughter. Thus starting an uncontrollable laughter amongst the three of us. Laughing sooo hard I could hardly breath! I just love times like that, no matter how we are feeling the girls giggling at each other will always wash away sadness or frustration. Audi's favorite show is AFV (I don't know why?) so we laugh a bunch in our house. However it really hurts her feelings when they show the ones that are a montage of people falling! She did fall off the couch one time so maybe it just brings back bad memories!Ha!

Chilling with grandma Nene
Well I'm trying to set up a page for friends and family to view. Realizing I'm not too good at this. I think I set up like three different pages so far but this is what I was looking for I think. Thank you Molly for leading me in this direction! The girls are running around grandmas house like they pay rent here or something. They have so much fun here trashing the place (oh i mean playing). Audairian who is now 21 months is getting pretty good at swimming. She just one day figured out how to use her floaties and keep her head above the water. It was an exciting moment as I would think it would be for any parent. Solana who's 9 months now likes the water as well. Just kinda relaxes and it seems to almost put her to sleep. Well thats all for now I guess I'll play around on here a little longer.
